Another colleague was retiring just before I left and of course I was commissioned to create his cake. His main hobby was flying and he had his own light aircraft. Armed with a photograph I set about creating him and his plane out of fondant. It wouldn't have been complete without having him flying off over a crime scene his colleagues were at on Southend Pier. Perfect!
